Ana Sanchez of Dancing Mood brings this class to us. Ms. Monika, whom the students LOVE, will lead this section.
This dance program and FUN and provides an enriching experience promoting creative expression and physical and emotional development.
The course provides students with an initial introduction to the art of movement. Several class objectives are as follows:
1. Foster the ability to express and communicate through rhythm, dance, and body movement.
2. Explore the relationship between the body, space, and time, and develop it through music.
3. Improve fundamental physical abilities and learn to express ideas and emotions through the body, space, and music, acquiring a range of appropriate gestural and interpretative resources for their school age.
4. Familiarize themselves with the components of dance and its primary forms, and practice both improvisation and the execution of established dance steps, integrating relaxation and breathing exercises as well.
5. Enjoy and have fun with movement in a playful environment that encourages social relationships, enriches emotional expression, and promotes self-confidence.
