Power up your Minecraft skills with Minecraft Redstone I - Advanced

Students in 3rd to 5th grade who completed City Rescue Squad last school year.

Unlock the secrets of Minecraft’s most powerful tool—Redstone! Zaniac’s Redstone Engineers program is an exciting afterschool course designed for both beginners and experienced builders eager to master the art of automation and engineering in Minecraft.

What is Redstone?

Redstone in Minecraft is like electricity! It’s the magic that powers circuits, activates mechanisms, and makes automated creations possible. From opening doors to building complex machines, Redstone is the key to turning simple builds into advanced, functional projects.

Level 1: Redstone Basics

For those new to Redstone, Level 1 introduces the fundamentals of Minecraft’s electricity-like system. Students will learn how to use pistons, repeaters, comparators, and get an introduction to command blocks. They’ll apply their new skills in exciting projects like building secure vaults, automated sugar cane farms, and more, culminating in the creation of a thrilling Spleef arena!

Why Minecraft?

At Zaniac, we use Minecraft™ as a tool to teach real-world math, science, and technology skills. Minecraft reinforces math concepts and introduces students to physical and life sciences, architecture, and engineering. Kids learn with their peers in a fun team format while developing critical reasoning skills such as problem-solving, communication, teamwork, creativity, and productivity

Get ready for an adventure with Zaniac’s Biosphere Explorers, an exciting afterschool program designed for beginners new to Minecraft. This program is perfect for young explorers eager to dive into the world of Minecraft while learning about life sciences in a fun and interactive way!

In Biosphere Explorers, your child will journey through different biomes, discovering the wonders of biodiversity, renewable and non-renewable resources, and the importance of sustainability and self-sufficiency. As they navigate, mine, and craft their way through the game, they’ll learn valuable lessons about the environment and how to work together to achieve group missions.

But that’s not all—this program is more than just a game. It’s an opportunity for your child to develop critical skills such as teamwork, collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and creativity. Working alongside friends, they’ll take on challenges that encourage them to think strategically and work efficiently, all while having a blast in the immersive world of Minecraft.

Whether your child is a budding scientist, a curious explorer, or loves to learn through play, Biosphere Explorers is the perfect way to introduce them to the exciting possibilities of Minecraft and the fascinating world of life sciences.
